Wing eating

McGrady's is running the First Annual Wings for Kids event this weekend to raise money for the UVA Childrean's Hospital.


From McGrady's:

The event is a wing speed eating competition that was built as an annual way to do some fundraising for our local community and in short we are in need of more teams to fill up our bracket.

Registration will begin this Saturday at 11am and the competition will begin around noon. Entry is $20 per person and teams must have 4 competitors (including at least one female). The entry fee includes your choice of any pitcher of beer (That’s one pitcher PER PERSON) as well as your wings. Any money above our cost will go directly to the UVA Children’s Hospital. Competitors will have to eat 5 wings per round (which is nothing, I have seen most of you here on Sundays!) and the fastest team moves on. Winners will get cash prizes and full stomachs.

In addition Red Bull is donating cases of Red Bull and we will be running $5 Red Bull Vodka’s all day long and donating $1.50 per can of Red Bull sold to the hospital! (Red Bull Gives You Wings)

You do not have to pay until registration (which is Saturday from 11am to noon) and all you need to do is e-mail us at mcgradysirishpub@gmail.com or call us at 434.293.3473 and say “sign our team up” and we will add you to the list. Lastly, if you can’t, or don’t want to eat the wings, please come out and enjoy the fun – and maybe make a small donation to the Children’s Hospital through Red Bull Vodkas or the donation jar. This is our first annual event and we are really hoping to make it an annual way to have some fun and support our community!
